The ChemEducation team are dynamic and innovative. Their diverse range of experience and knowledge provides them with a unique ability to offer outstanding chemistry education at all levels. They have all worked in education for a number of years, and are very passionate about driving standards in chemistry teaching.

Dr Carly Brooke MChem PhD PGCE

Co-founder, director and tutor/trainer


Carly is an experienced and well respected teacher and is currently Head of Key Stage 5 Science in a Liverpool School. She has also worked in both research and industry. Carly designs and teaches our student workshops for both GCSE and A Level chemistry, and uses her extensive knowledge of the syllabi to assist in the design and delivery of our CPD courses.

Dr Cate Cropper MChem PhD MRSC

Co-founder, director and tutor/trainer


Cate is a lecturer in chemistry at Liverpool University, where she specialises in physical/inorganic chemistry and spectroscopy. She has also taught on and designed courses for foundation year chemistry students. Cate plays a huge role in the design and delivery of our CPD courses, particularly those focused on her speciality topics.

Dr Ian O'Neil BSc PhD DIC CChem FRSC

Co-founder, director and tutor/trainer


Ian is a Reader of Organic Chemistry at the Liverpool University, and has been teaching Undergraduate chemistry for over 25 years. He has written and delivered many undergraduate courses covering a wide range of chemistry, including organic synthesis/mechanisms and spectroscopy. Ian's key role is the design and delivery of our CPD courses, with a focus on organic chemistry and analysis.
